Forever aloe vera, from plant to product

Forever has grown its own aloe vera since 1978. The brand controls the whole chain: plantations, harvest, processing, testing and manufacturing.

The plantations

Fields grown by Forever

Forever uses Aloe barbadensis Miller, the most nutritionally rich aloe vera variety. The brand grows it in its own fields, notably in the Dominican Republic.

  • Grown without chemical pesticides.
  • Dominican Republic plantations certified organic by the USDA (United States) and the European Union.
  • All the water used is recycled, with drip irrigation and solar-powered pumps.
  • Around 3,000 goats weed the fields naturally and fertilise the soil.

Pure gel, or mucilage

Under the green rind lies the mucilage: a translucent gel, naturally rich in water and polysaccharides, including acemannan. It is what gives the plant its value.

The leaves, harvested by hand at full maturity, are carefully filleted to keep only the gel from the heart of the pulp. Forever uses only this pure gel.

Stabilised within 6 hours

Within six hours of harvest, the gel, with no added preservative, goes through a patented stabilisation process that preserves its nutrients and vitamins. The gel in PET bottles is stabilised in the same way.

Quality

The IASC seal

Forever aloe vera products are certified by the International Aloe Science Council (IASC), which checks aloe vera content and quality. The Aloe Vera of America plant (Dallas), which manufactures Forever products, is also IASC certified.

Each year, this plant runs more than 100,000 tests to check product quality and safety. Forever controls its whole chain: fields, manufacturing, research and quality labs, distribution.
